WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE COLOR & WHY?
I have quite a few favorite colors but I really lean towards green a lot. Green gives me a sense of tranquility and makes for a great statement color in clothing, accessories and home decor!
WHAT WAS THE FIRST LESSON YOU LEARNED ABOUT BEAUTY?
True beauty comes from within. Kevyn Aucoin once said "life is too short to spend hoping that the perfectly arched eyebrow or hottest new lip shade will mask an ugly heart", and I totally agree with him!
WHAT'S YOUR DAILY BEAUTY RITUAL?
My daily beauty ritual consists of having a cup of coffee in the AM and adding collagen peptide powder. After I've enjoyed my morning coffee I follow up with my morning skincare routine which consists of cleansing, toning, eye serum, face serum, moisturizer, sunscreen and finishing up with my uplifting facial massaging roller to decrease puffiness and increase blood circulation. Throughout the day I like to mist my face with Marie Hunter Refreshing Green Tea Mist to rejuvenate my skin and add moisture. At night I make sure to proceed with my PM skincare routine to remove all the surface buildup from the day.
HAVE YOU LEARNED ANY LESSONS IN EXPRESSING YOURSELF?
I speak words of affirmation to myself daily which gives me an extra boost of confidence to express through my personal style.
WHERE AND HOW DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?
I find inspiration all around! I'm inspired by art, design, texture, culture, architecture and more!
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION RIGHT NOW?
Right now I am really inspired by BIPOC women owned brands. We're showing up and showing out and it keeps me motivated to keep striving for more!
WHAT NAIL COLOR SHOULD EVERYONE HAVE?
Mauve, Red and Green for sure. One of my current favorites is FOR TMRW's For Ever nail polish. It's the perfect forest green!
DO YOU HAVE A PERSONAL MANTRA OR AFFIRMATION YOU USE?
"I am doing my best and that is always enough."
WHAT ARE SOME BEAUTY PRODUCTS OR PERSONAL WELLNESS RITUALS YOU SWEAR BY?
Some beauty products I'm loving at the moment are the Marie Hunter Overnight Recovery Cream and Lauren Napier Beauty Cleanse Makeup Remover Wipes. I've also been spending more time on my body care routine and I'm currently loving the marble body brush from Gilded Body along with having a cup of Skin Detox Tea by Yogi Tea daily.
HOW HAVE YOU BEEN FINDING JOY POST-QUARANTINE?
I've really been trying to make more time for myself. As an entrepreneur and mom of 3, I often get lost in the hustle and bustle of mom life and work life. Now I make sure I take more time to do things that bring me joy whether it's binge watching Netflix, getting my nails done, or a solo trip to Target.
